Since ancient times in Japan, strings and cords were indispensable items for various purposes ranging from something to wear – swards, kabuto armor and clothing – to decorations for shrines and temples. However, they have been considered furnished accessories, merely sidekicks. This project has been an attempt to promote them to the leading part.
